Social Etiquettes
When people get together in one place, it is called a gathering. A gathering may be religious, social, or any other type. There are certain rules and etiquette, which you must observe when you attend a gathering.
The Prophet Muhammad (SallAllahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) In A Gathering:
In a gathering, our Holy Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) would speak wisely, clearly, and slowly so that people could understand him. His voice was neither too loud nor too low. He used to say, 'Say something good or remain quiet.' He did not like useless conversation.
Make Your Good Friends:
You must make good friends because your friends influence you. It is better to go to a gathering where you will associate with good people and not with bad people.
Gathering Rules:
Here are somes rules that you must follow when you attend a gathering.
1.Try to be punctual and arrive on time.
2.When you enter, greet those who are present by saying Assalaam-o-alaikum.
3.Sit wherever you find a place, without disturbing others. Do not try to make anyone move or give up thier place for you.
4.You should speak to only one person at a time. Listen attentively if someone is speaking . Do not interrupt thier conversation.
5.Speak clearly and slowly so that others will understand you.
6.Do not whisper among yourselves; it is impolite.
7.Do not backbite or gossip.
8.Do not laugh or make fun of others in a gathering.
9.Speak in a language that others can understand.
10. In a religious gathering, dress properly and show respect to what is being said.
11.If something is decided confidentially in a gathering, keep it to yourself.
